Dave Kallas is the principal and founder of Lobby Utah. He has been involved in Utah politics for over 15 years, including time spent on political campaigns, working within state and local governments, in the private sector and as a lobbyist. 

After graduating from the University of Utah with a B.A. in Political Science and International Studies, Dave joined the Huntsman for Governor campaign as field director in 2007. The following year he was asked to join the administration. He spent several years working for then Lieutenant Governor Gary Herbert and later Lieutenant Governor Greg Bell. Following his time in the governor's office, he worked at Utah Transit Authority managing federal and local government relations. He joined Clyde Companies in 2016, where he worked as an in-house lobbyist, representing the company before state and local governments.

Dave's diverse experience and relationships allow him to help clients succeed when dealing with the government. He has extensive experience on issues including land use, private property, tax law, natural resources, mining, transportation, appropriations, insurance, employment law, technology, business, municipal issues, nonprofits and more.

In 2017, Dave was elected to the Bluffdale City Council and later reelected in 2019. Dave and his wife Megan continue to reside in Bluffdale where they are raising their four young daughters.
